Short Sermon 2-29-2020

You’re all going to be ministers this morning as we minister in song this morning but I do have a couple scriptures I want to share this morning.

Just great to be and I didn’t send them so they didn’t have them so we decided to look them up for this morning but in The Great to be in the House of Lords morning it’s great to sing praises It’s great to be in his presence you know that this week I heard on the radio they were saying Who do you want to see when you get to heaven you know speaking of biblical characters Well I we all say 1st of all I want to see Jesus you know I want to see the one that died for me to want to took my sins upon itself but there’s many others you know will want to see it be awesome the the meat Moses and Abraham and Joseph many of the most importantly we want to see Jesus Amen open my eyes where I want to see you out of you but you know many people can see Jesus on this earth through us right he says as you do in the least of these you do want to me so they can see Jesus and our actions and things we do and that help that we give other people Amen and that what is that called this bearing fruit so that’s when I talk of this is just a few minutes it’s more not want take up much with or for another or not be too long right so Luke 6 was in Luke Chapter 6 last week but there’s a couple verses I want to share from verses 43 through 45. For a good tree does not bear bad fruit nor does a bad tree bear good fruit for every tree is known by its own fruit for men do not gather figs from thorns nor the door of it nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush a good man out of the good trader of his heart brings forth good and evil man out of the evil traitor of his heart brings forth evil for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks but also want to turn to Luke Chapter 13.

Versus 6 through 9 Jesus speaking the parable He also spoke this parable a certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard and he came seeking fruit on it any found none then he said to the keeper of his venue look for 3 years I have come seeking fruit from this fig tree and find none cut it down why does it use up the ground but he answered and said to him Sir let alone that this year also and I will dig around it and fertilize it and if it bears fruit well and if it does not then you can cut it down so you gotta get this image or this tree’s not dead you know this tree has 5 leaves on it but it doesn’t have fruit you know when you think of fruit trees.

It’s amazing when you look at what has to go into a fruit tree you know it needs a great amount of moisture from the ground but also nutrients from the ground they have to pollinate if you just had one tree out there in the middle of nowhere it probably possibly would not bear fruit because it’s not going to pollinate now they do have pollinators so mazing all the things that have to happen for a tree to bear fruit so they do have to pollinate but I would just use this analogy here it’s taking nutrients from the ground so this. The owner of this order saying Listen I’ve came to this thing for 3 years no fruit on it it’s using up the nutrients from the ground that the other trees could use so it’s ways it’s using up all the water using up the nutrients and that’s producing the fruit it has leis it might look good there’s a lot of people walking around to look really good right but they’re not producing fruit and I’m talking fruit for the Kingdom of God So this tree’s produces no fruit but he says let me work at it let me dig around it let me fertilize it make sure it solves good and we’ll see if we can’t get this tree to produce some fruit some figs and you know as a Having worked in one an orchard many many moons ago that you know it took a lot of care for fruit trees you know you did have to fertilise you had to use brush hogs could the trees were planted in long rows and so you would go this way and that way and make sure that the vines didn’t grow up over the trees to choke them out when we can use that as an illustration to write we’ve got to make sure the vines doesn’t grow up over this tree and choke it out to keep it from producing fruit but you also have to make sure their ground is good like this guy’s going to do get the proper nutrients and there were do we get them right here right we get the nutrients rate here for these trees these fruit trees here that help produce fruit but also coming together right. Coming together pollinating one another if you will write to help one another produce fruit we learn from one another bless others with the knowledge and the wisdom and the help that you can give to them the God has given you the talents so pollinate others out there to help others produce fruit and if you’re not producing fruit start working that soil start meditating on the word start going to God in prayer start getting up to church learning the things that you need to help produce fruit in your life because we are to produce fruit because what happens is that treated doesn’t produce fruit

it gets cut down then what happens after that they cut it down and they cast it into the furnace right cast it into the fire one more number and start to him saying on that I’m going to have some chapter one just 3 verses then I’ll shut up bless it is the man who walks not in the council the un Godly nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful but he did lights in the laws of the board and in his law he meditates day and night he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season whose leaves also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper so whenever we meditate on the Word of God we will be like that tree planted by the river getting plenty of nutrients plenty of water and going to bear great fruit when we meditate. On the Word of God will spend a lot of time with God and with his church with his people we will be like at abundant tree producing fruit Amen Let us pray and then we’ll begin our Him saying Heavenly Father we do praise you and magnify you we thank you for your presence in our lives 1st of all we thank you that your spirit is upon us we thank you for your grace in your mercy father as you demonstrated by sending your son Jesus Christ and father I do pray that you would help all of us to be faithful faithful that we would produce fruit for your kingdom father it’s not about ourselves looking good but Father God it’s telling others about Jesus the Lord is bringing others into the to the family the family of God Father just sharing how amazing your love is and sharing with others that we can have forgiveness of our sins and Lord help us just to be faithful to that to to do that but that we would have much fruit but Lord we’re just seeking to do your will that’s the most important thing nor did we would trust in you that we would be open to allowing you to use us for your glory and for Your Honor may your presence here today as we left our voices in or just this blessed us with your peace in Jesus name Amen.
