2 Kings 6:8-23
8 Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.” 9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.” 10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.
11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?”
12 And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”
13 So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.”
And it was told him, saying, “Surely he is in Dothan.”
14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”
16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 Now Elisha said to them, “This is not the way, nor is this the city. Follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom you seek.” But he led them to Samaria.
20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said, “Lord, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.” And the Lord opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria!
21 Now when the king of Israel saw them, he said to Elisha, “My father, shall I kill them? Shall I kill them?”
22 But he answered, “You shall not kill them. Would you kill those whom you have taken captive with your sword and your bow? Set food and water before them, that they may eat and drink and go to their master.” 23 Then he prepared a great feast for them; and after they ate and drank, he sent them away and they went to their master. So the bands of Syrian raiders came no more into the land of Israel.
Ps. 94:11
The Lord knows the
thoughts of man,
That they are futile.
Ps. 44:21
Would not God search this out?
For He knows the secrets of the heart.
Rev. 11:4-7
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. 6 These have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.
7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
Heb. 1:13-14
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said:
“Sit
at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Once again once again we look upon the cross and once again we’re filled we we can be filled and refresh and we do that by going to the Word of God and going to God in prayer this morning we look at the scripture not Saddam a devotional time and in read in this book what the book looks big to be going to call this little short message the Living Word and we are good we write we were think good and so said as I was having a devotional obvious thinking about you know God from the beginning his desire to have a relationship with mankind that he wants to have a personal intimate relationship with him that we communicate with him and I think about. The Old Testament and how he spoke to the people through the patriarchs through Moses through Joseph through the prophets through Daniel through Elijah through the law should the God spoke to the people to share with them you know his heart and share with them.Sometimes it was words and excuse me where President courage meant sometimes it was words of rebuke and sometimes it was just to try to get the people back on the right track back where they were walking in his ways and in living and with their lives in a way that’s delightful to him that’s pleasing on that you know so there’s a so many ways to God as spoke to mankind over this never the the centuries and today we have his word yes I know that he often speaks to us through other people will speak to us through prayer but we have his word as holy word that we can open up and we can learn from it we can hear him speak if we only allow our hearts to be open and to receive what he has for us so his word is living in its oblate his word is. Powerful it is awesome and so I want to read this morning from Hebrews Chapter 4 verses 8 through 13.Says for if Joshua had given them rest then he would not have afterward spoke not after word has spoken of another day there remains there for a rest for the people who are God for He who has entered his rest has been so also ceased from his work as God did from his so as we are enjoying the Sabbath day we do cease from our normal everyday work that we do that we cease from it and we rest as God rested from the work of creation on the 7th day verse 11 says there let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest this any one follow according to the same exact will of disobedience for the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any 2 edged sword piercing even to the division of the soul and spirit into the joint and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intense of the heartand there is no creature hidden from the end there is no creature hidden from his sight but all things are naked and opens of the eyes of him to whom we must give account what a powerful word is there’s so many things in there that we can talk about and through for one nothing is hidden from God. Not our thoughts the intent of the heart nothing is hidden from God So God knows everything that we think he knows what is in our hearts and He knows all of these things so we can’t hide anything from God God knows us better than we know ourselves and I have a message to prepare for next week in and I want to go ahead and give you the scripture and you have an opportunity to to turn to that this week and look at it you have a little bit of a. Privileged what next week’s message will be about it’s in 2nd Kings Chapter 5 verses one through 19 we know this is the story of naman where naman.Went to property law sure and Alaska gave him the word that God gave him he actually sent to a to maim and to a messenger but God knew that name and needed more then a physical healing because he knows the intent of our hearts and that’s a key I might be too much in next week’s message but God knows what we need more than what we ourselves know that we need we know that God knows what is best for us he has our best interests at heart but sometimes we don’t get things the things we ask Wharton way that we ask for or an autonomy we have formed because God knows what is best he knows. What we need to do in our lives. And so that’s why we go to his word because his word can correct a sick and give us understanding we can give much peace we can have peace now His Word says that it’s piercing even to the divisions of soul when speared join tomorrow and its turn her thoughts. So God’s word my friends can be be that it needed to divide so you can separate and help separate those things in our lives it should be there whenever his word will bring conviction in our hearts but it can also bring us peace in our hearts peace in that relationship with Godand that is God’s greatest intent and desire that we would enter into that relationship with him each and every day we would walk with him that whenever God speaks to us through His Word we would simply obey what he has commanding us to do that we would walk and say.God gave that word a name and a name and it 1st got very angry as I gave a bit more of next week’s message but it was a simple thing that got it asking to do what he was angry because it was not what he wanted to do he wanted to do is own thing and we can always doduring thing times we have to pause and and this listen to what God is saying sometimes of might sound too simple sometimes among some to difficult we just have to trust that God is All knowing that he is all powerful and what he says is absolutely true so when you read God’s word of a brother or sister in Christ speaks to you. Except that we’re. Open to work gotta make sure it does line up with the word and try to walk in and pray to God What I was steered to guide you to help you to be all that he wants you to be to be faithful to him to live a life that is tweezing and and with others will see others will see Christ in you see the love of Christ in you and desire to have that also the friends of just encourage you to. Spend as much time in the word as you can because that is where we are refreshed one song spoke of being refilled beer being filled and be refreshed and we can be refreshed there’s times where we do feel like we’re. Maybe not as close as we was in a little bit dry but we can have that renew that feeling that refreshing by going to the Word of God You know it’s more than just words really written down on the page I believe that the words that we read in in the by a large are by God I know that it was given to the disciples within the patriarchs and the prophets but I believe God The repeated every word that was written down here and I believe it is living I think it is new every day we can we might study a chapter or a few verses one day and we might not look at that again for months or even years and we can look at it another time and it’s new to this sub believe that His word is new every day and I believe it can speak to us every day and refresh our spirits refresher souls and help us to live it live our lives enjoy and live a life that is in right relationship with him and life we can enjoy and you know like without him just I know that some people think the ways the world are fun but the ways of God is life the grace of God is that we would be in right relationship that you would be loving that we be kind.To others and we are we can be God’s hands and feet in God’s word to other people so just my charisma of this morning is that we wouldget into the word study the word but remember how powerful it is His word is true it is faithful God says that his word would never go forth void so we speak is word it may plant just the tiniest little seed in someone’s heart that God can water that seed and cause it to grow and that word can encourage someone that may be suffering with depression that word might encourage someone that is suffering with pain but God’s word spoken and kindness and spoken in truth can bring hope can bring healing can bring refreshing so I encourage you again to turn to the Word of God and allowed to speak to your heart but allow God also to use that word to speak to others through you so this again this thank you for joining us this morning.
