Sermon – “Let All Creation Praise Him”

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
Praise Him in the heights!
² Praise Him, all His angels;
Praise Him, all His hosts!
³ Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all you stars of light!
⁴ Praise Him, you heavens of heavens,
And you waters above the heavens!

⁵ Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For He commanded and they were created.
⁶ He also established them forever and ever;
He made a decree which shall not pass away.

⁷ Praise the Lord from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all the depths;
⁸ Fire and hail, snow and clouds;
Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
⁹ Mountains and all hills;
Fruitful trees and all cedars;
¹⁰ Beasts and all cattle;
Creeping things and flying fowl;
¹¹ Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Princes and all judges of the earth;
¹² Both young men and maidens;
Old men and children.

¹³ Let them praise the name of the Lord,
For His name alone is exalted;
His glory is above the earth and heaven.
¹⁴ And He has exalted the horn of His people,
The praise of all His saints—
Of the children of Israel,
A people near to Him.

Praise the Lord!

⁴ But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. ⁵ For neither at any time did we use flattering words, as you know, nor a cloak for covetousness—God is witness. ⁶ Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. ⁷ But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children. ⁸ So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us. ⁹ For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

¹⁰ You are witnesses, and God also, how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe;

³⁷ Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, ³⁸ saying:

“ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

³⁹ And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”

⁴⁰ But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

⁹ Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

¹¹ “You are worthy, O Lord,
To receive glory and honor and power;
For You created all things,
And by Your will they exist and were created.”

re going to praise them for getting straight A’s going to want to adopt right hopefully when our kids graduate from college we’re going to praise them and admire them for their great accomplishments we would we give admiration to those that for the things that they’ve done we want them to feel like they’re valuable valued right we don’t want her children to go through life feeling like they’re they’re not worth anything like they’re not valuable to us right so we want to pursue a study value upon them a credit value upon them rightthat’s what it is value going to we’re going to talk a lot about value todaywe should not wait for someone to accomplish some great big accomplishment before we make them feel valuable we should do it every day couples ought to ensure that their spouse knows that they appreciate what you do for them or per se them not just what they do for you but that your purse shape them that they are valuable in your eyesjust this past week down to form working and I was tasked with the job of going down picking some onions. And we plant these big candy onions they get real big so what we do is you’ve got to get down you’ve got to pull them out of the ground and you cut the root off and then you cut the the stem off then you’ve got to peel back some of the layer so it’s a nice pretty clean white onion needs to be able to sell the market so I go down to pick on humans and one of our neighbors neighboring farm his name is Arnold and he’s 83 years old his wife is 74 years old when they were down there getting some to mate is for canning So he’s in his little commode is all sob aside and I’ve been there picking onions in Arnold says when you get done pick an Emmy says you can take him down here by the trees in the shade and clean them and get him ready I said yes he goes Why says I I’ll take Linda or he said she want to get Stonies tomatoes he says and I’ll come back and help here. Last word you don’t need to do that because now I want to he says I appreciate the tomatoes he said I want to come back and help you said Well Ok I picked up our of I’m like nah I’m not crates up a couple thoughts such sum up the truck so we’re work and it took us a couple hours at least we’re going to bore we’re almost done and others through a crater on a corner he goes up a very way to get the my story where they’re talking the whole time we’re working and talking in Arnold shares with me that his wife Linda last year fell and broke one arm any other are messed up or shoulder so she had he said both arms were like this he said she couldn’t do anything he says I had to do everything he said I’m talking even you know everything had to dress or he says I had to do all the cooking all the cleaning everything around the house everything that she did I had to do plus my stuff he goes oh my God she said this about the way said it was I had no idea I had no idea she did so much he says he goes I’ve learned to really tell her really tell her a lot how much I appreciate her how much I value her he says and it’s from change made he says I help a lot more than I used to he says I used to not help at all round house he says I help her down he says because now I see what she did husbands are we doing thatare we telling our wise how much we value them how much we appreciate them not just what they do for us but what they do was Are you telling your husbands you appreciate them this you value them we value we should value and appreciate others. Yes give him a little praise is not wrongbut with that said we are not to save the praise of menwe are to strive to do good strive to be kind to one another to do unto others because you as you do unto the least of these Jesus says you do want to me. But we are to strive to please God most evolvedand praise God 1st us alone eons to or through 10 says but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel even so we speak not as pleasing men but God who test our hearts my friends strive to please God because he test our hearts for neither at any time did we use flattering words as you know nor a cloak for covetousness God is witness nor do we seek glory from men either from you or from others when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ but we were gentlewoman you jest as nursing mothers cherishes as a nursing mother Sherry says her own children so affectionately longing for you we were well pleased to impart to you only the gospel of God but also our own wise because you had become dear to us for you remember brother and our labor and toil for laboring night and day that we might not be a burden to any of you we preach to you the gospel of God You are witnesses and God also how devoutly and justly and blamelessly we behave ourselves among you who believeso we may praise and commend others for their accomplishmentsfor their worth but when it comes to praise our truest in our highest praise my friends belongs to God It belongs to God Our very 1st versus someone 48 said Praise the Lord praise the Lord.You know the book The Songs the whole entire book speaks more about praise than any other book of the Bibleyou can turn to almost every single chapter in the book of Psalms and it’s going to be speaking of praise148 chapters a very unique chapter you know I read this about a month ago I read it while we was on vacation it just really spoke to my heart it’s very unique you know it says that the beast in the cattle or to praise him the creeping things the flying fowl the Eagles you know flat around there should be praising God fire in hell snow in clouds all these sea creatures all that is in the depths of the sea shell praise him you know how can that be when Romans 8 worse 18 to 22 says for I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us for the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God for her for the creation was subjected to futility not willing but because of him who subjected in and hope because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God who we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now my friends when man sin we know that it affected the entire t. of creation. Because animals die right I mean we have our pets that we love dearly but we know that most of the time our pets will live 12 to 1516 years they’re going to die why because man sin we know the trees which is a living thing we know that they die you walk out into the woods you’re going to see trees laid on the ground you’re going to look up and see trees that have no leaves because they’ve died right we know that sin has affected all of creation so it says that creation grown is waiting for things to be restored right waiting for the sons of men to return right so it only stands to reason that if creation can grow.And way with expectation that creation can praise Himwho is you know you go out in the nice spring morning or even this morning I went out on the porch a 2nd it’s a nice pot quiet peaceful place and you hear the birds singing right who’s to say that those birds singing are praising the Lordif you ever heard the whaleswho’s to say that those beautiful noises that well out of there those noises at the well make Who’s to say that they’re not praising GodDear make a lot of noises dear will grant and those snore will make all other kind of various noises who’s to say that they’re not praising God How about when the winds are blowing a little bit and then leaves are going like this they’re waving their hands and praising God who’s to say that they aren’t How about when that ocean waves roll and clap that they’re not praising GodI feel that creation all of creation when they’re doing what God is intended to do they are praising God. When they are doing what they’ve intended them to do they are praising their creator they’re praising him for his goodness for his creative power that all of creation prays and even a inanimate nature even though they don’t have the intelligence they don’t have the intelligence like God give me at work like we’re supposed to have right up with that in our Yeah we’re supposed to be intelligent supposed to be intelligent enough to praise him but not all are but even if inanimate nature I believe can praise their creator and I believe they do praise their Creator you know they have their way of communicating as I just spoke of how do we know that they’re together when you’re communicating or not praising GodChrist Himself said that if man would not praise him that the very rocks could cry out in Luke 1937 through 40 and as he was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen saying bless it is a king who comes in the name of the Lord peace in heaven and glory in the highest and some of the Pharisees called to him from the crowd saying Teacher rebuke your disciples but he answered and said to them I tell you that if these should speak you know that if these should keep silent the stones would immediately cry outKaren shared out just not too long ago just a couple few weeks agothat the Stones would cry out my friends we don’t want stones crying out in our placepraise him praise him with all your heart this is a heavenly host of angels or to praise him. The Chaldee translates as praise the Lord the Holy creatures from the heavens praise him be armies of supreme angels praise him all yea jewels who minister before himso the most important thing is not whether or how the inanimate things praise him but that we who have breath praise him. That we who are created in the image of God would praise him that we who has given intelligence would praise him verses 11 through 13 said kings of the earth in all peoples my friends ar ho gathered around him realize how well he had learned the lesson of praising God in every circumstance despite his extreme weakness he began to sing that same him that I just read to you now praise my maker while I have breath that story was found in our daily bread or we in that place in our relationship with God that we can say that while I have breathI will praise my makerI pray that we are there.I pray that we will praise him as long as we have breath in these lumps as long as he’s given us life let us praise the one who created all things the one who made us in His own image Amen.
