Rev. 12:7-11
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Gen. 3:14-15
So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
Rom. 8:1-4
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

That’s what Memorial Days about remembering those who gave their all and we also remember those who are still serving because they’re all heroes and titles so many gave their all so many sacrificed you know every one of those young men and women that signed up for the Army knew that they were putting their life on the line for us you know even the Bible. I’ll go ahead and begin. Even the Bible records many many many wars throughout its pages. You know one sets bought one sets battle the Israelites were going to battle against the amount of kites and you’ve probably all read this story that Moses went up on the hill where he could look out over the field and see where the battle was taking place and Aaron and her was with him and as long as Moses held up the rod the staff the Israelites were winning the battle but his arms got as his arms got tarred in the staff came down the amount of cuts begin to win the battle. So they got a stone and same on a stone in her in one side and Aaron on the other side to help to hold his arms up in Israelites were victorious that day. There are so many wars recorded in the Bible so many battles in the Bible and many of these battles. Today is archeologists uncover artifacts and many things. It actually actually authentic makes the offense the sizes the Bible the accuracy of the Bible because they’re digging up things that proves that yeah this battle took place back here back when so many Bibles. But you know so many battles but you know some people might question why God has allowed wars. What’s not that God allow. I mean they did do happen. They’re not gods. You know it’s not God’s desire. When God created the earth and put man in it he pronounced that it was all good. It was all good until man sinned and fell from that estate in the garden because mankind was given a free will they could choose rather to a big God and do that which is good or to do evil he give them that choice in many chose to do evil and that’s why today we have evil man and good man Cohen habitate in on the earth and that is why we have war God hates war but war is sometimes necessary to maintain order upon the earth is it not if we were not willing to go to war what would we have today. I don’t think we would have a nation. I know we would not have a nation. You know the very first war recorded actually happened the spiritual realm revelations Chapter twelve were seven to eleven and there was a war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought against his angels and prevailed not neither was their place found any more in heaven and the driver and the great dragon was cast out that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan was deceived the whole world. He was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven now is come salvation and strength and a kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ for the accuser of our brother and is cast down which accused them before God day and night and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they love not their lives unto the death that war happened in heaven in a spiritual realm we know. That the day that man sin began that great battle between good and evil and has been going on ever since that day and then there’s wars began on Earth and it began in Genesis Three Chapter fourteen and fifteen. So the LORD God said to the serpent because you have done this your curse more than all cattle and more than every beast of the field and on your belly you shall go and you shall eat the dust all the days of your life and I will put em the tea war. I will put entity between you and the woman in between your seed and her seeds he sell brews your head and you shall bruise his heel so began that battle between good and evil. I will put amity between you and you and the woman and it continues to this present day we are seeing worse today because of that battle because of Satan’s desire to do evil because of his wickedness. And you know I want to share a little bit of history many probably know a lot of this information but I want to share. Just because it does kind of refreshes our memory as to how many really gave their lives that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today the freedom that we have to come here on this Sabbath day and worship did not come easy the freedom to choose where to go to school did not come at no cost the freedom to choose where we want to work did not come at little or no cost all these things came at great cost the Revolutionary War fought between seven hundred seventy five and seven hundred eighty three. The small Continental Army was. The small cotton army with the help of a ragtag group of guerrilla fighters which included Native American Indians and French forces fought for. Eight bloody years against the forces of His Majesty King George the third of Great Britain at that time probably the most powerful nation on earth. But they fought in order to secure the freedom to govern themselves as they saw fit the fledgling colonies lost nearly fifty or nearly five thousand men in that conflict. The war of eighteen twelve to eighteen fifteen. It was called The War of eight hundred twelve it was from eight hundred twelve eight hundred fifteen. It was a bloody little sequel to the Revolutionary War and once again they fought King George and they lost nearly two thousand men in that conflict the Mexican War from eight hundred forty six to eight hundred forty eight this war was fought against our neighbors to the south and their Then MASTERS The King of Spain in two bloody years the US lost over thirteen thousand men in battle. Then comes the American Civil War. Imagine if the War Between the States. Sometimes it pitted brother against brother cousin against cousin eight hundred sixty one to eight hundred sixty five the Confederate States of America the southern secession states in the union the northern states locked in a deadly conflict for nearly five years over complicated legal and moral disagreements the toll this war was nearly seven hundred thousand Ascott just shared the bloodiest conflict in America’s history was between brothers between neighbors. Nearly seven hundred thousand men then came the Spanish War eight hundred ninety eight a little tip against Spain once again we lost nearly two thousand men World War one thousand nine hundred seventeen thousand nine hundred eighteen U.S. involvement the world’s first. Truly global global conflict. The u.s. entered this war to assist their allies. The united kingdom and others. In securing the future of york. While the us was only involved for the last year or so the conflict it suffered the loss of one hundred sixteen thousand men. Then world war two plane nine hundred forty one thousand nine hundred forty five. The most catastrophic event in the history of mankind. Occurred during this terrible war. The war was a defining moment in the entire history of the human race. The u.s. fought. In many different geographic. The aiders. During world war two. They fought in the near east and africa the south pacific the north atlantic the northern pacific. And one in a one with over sixteen million men in service to the us. During this war. There were over four hundred thousand men lost. Then the korean conflict. One thousand fifty to one nine hundred fifty three. The u.s. and its allies attempted to prevent the communist north korean forces and. And came to the aid of south south korea. Over thirty six thousand men. Lost their lives in korea. And then the vietnam conflict from one nine hundred sixty four to one thousand nine hundred three. This was another politically complicated. Conflict. That initially involved the u.s. in an adversary role with the french who were attempting to maine king. Maintain control of the colonies in vietnam. Against the communist forces of the north vietnamese. But eventually the us actually became involved in the conflict. Through treaty obligations with the republic of vietnam. During this terrible bloody battle. The us lost sixty thousand men and women. What a great cost. The Gulf War in one thousand nine hundred one nine hundred ninety one the U.S. and its forces. Went to the aid of Kuwait who had been invaded by Iraq at the leadership of Saddam Hussein the U.S. lost three hundred eighty two men in that conflict and then the Iraq war two thousand and three two isn’t over yet four thousand four hundred eighty six men and women lost their lives in Iraq at all these up and the men and women who have died needs wars to protect our nation or our interests or to protect our freedoms comes to one million three hundred forty six thousand plus men and women so many people gave their lives to protect America protect the things that we cherish every day just don’t take them for granted. Let’s remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice the said so many have been touched by the loss of loved ones or family or friends or neighbors. Found the little shit story to share about a brave young soldier. In a rifle pit on the brow of a hill near Fredericksburg Virginia where a number of Confederate soldiers who had exhausted their ammunition in the vain attempt to check the advancing column of workers finally equipped and disciplined army which was crossing the river to the Briley for those few came the brigade in double quick time but no sooner were the soldiers entrenched then the foreign on the troops a priory. On the OP to SA the river became terrific and heavy midst obscured to seeing the Federal soldiers Portie merciless fire into the trenches soon many confederates fell. Oh and yeah good cry of the wounded who lay there calling for water smote the heart of their helpless comrades water water they was crying now but there was none to give the canteens were all empty boys explained. Nathan Cunningham a lad of eighteen years of age the color bearer for his regiment. I can’t stand this any more they want water and water they must have so let me have a few canteens and I’ll go for water carefully laying the colors aside which he had borne all many field in the trench he see some canteens and leaped into the mist was soon out of sight. Shortly after this the firing ceased for a while and an order came for the men to fall back to the main line and as confederates were retreating they met they thin. Cunningham and his canteens full of water hurrying to relieve the thirst of the wounded men in the trenches. He glanced over the passing column and saw all that the faded flag which he had carried so long was not there the men in their haste to to Bay orders had forgotten or overlooked the colors quickly the lad sped to the trenches intent now only to only go on giving water to his comrades and on rescuing the flag just to save the honor of his regiment his mission of mercy was soon accomplished the wounded men drank freely. The lad found the collars entire and turned to rejoin his regiment. Scarcely had he gone three paces when IT company of Federal soldiers appeared ascending the hill Holt and surrender came to stern command and a hundred rifles were leveled at the boy’s heart never. While holding the colors was his firm reply the morning sun pierce the lurid glare the dense mist showed the lead probably standing with. Head thrown back in his flag grasping his hand while his unprotected breast was exposed to the force of his foes a moment’s pause then the federal officer gave the command back with your pieces man. Don’t shoot that brave boy. Nathan Cunningham with his colors lined Evers head passed on enjoying his regiment. One brave lad. You know there’s a parallel to all the brave men and women that gave their lives and the sacrifice that Jesus Christ gave for us Romans eight verses one through four. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spear for the law the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death for what the LO could not do in that it was weak through the flesh. God did by sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh on account of sin. He condemned sin in the flesh that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to The Spirit of Christ is our banner that young lad was refused to surrender. He held high that banner Christ is our banner to we hold high that banner my friends the victory is sealed the victory has already been determined. In rat Revelation chapter twenty verse seven. DAVID I didn’t send that. So you have to turn your Bibles Revelation twenty four seven. Now when the thousand years have expired Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth Gorgon Magaw gather them together to battle whose number is as the sand of the sea they went up when the breath of the earth and. Surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast in the false prophet are and they will be tormented day and night forever. My friends Christ has already won the victory. Are we going to hold his banner high. That’s the good news we remember all those who gave their lives that we can enjoy what we have we also need to remember Christ because his sacrifice far exceeds any thing we can do because his sacrifice cleanse all of us makes all of us righteousness who believe in Him He gave the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the entire world not just for one nation. But for all who will believe. He gave the ultimate also lets us give him the sacrifice of praise the sacrifice of obedience the sacrifice of standing up for him holding high his royal banner. Amen.
