Romans 14:5-6

5 One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.

Gal. 2:15-16

15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

1 Jn 5:1-5

Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Ex. 20:8-11

8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Gen. 2:1-3

Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Ex. 31:12-17

12 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”

Gal. 3:26-29

26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Deut. 7:9-11

9 “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; 10 and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face. 11 Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.

Romans 2:12-16

12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law 13 (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

Acts 13:42-44

42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Matt. 5:17-20

17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. 19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

ve their parents getting like if you truly love your parents are going to obey them you’re going to follow of the things the rules they lay down and what parent would not love to have a child did mama clean my room today why why do you want to shop Why do you do that because I love you I did it this is today why do that because I love you is built on I and one hand. But what parent wouldn’t love the child that does all the rules and things of that household because they love their parents my friends I believe it pleases God God the lights in his children that follow his ways what more reason to we need right his commandments really are not burdensome on the contrary they are a blessing they are relieved from the burdens of a life that it can times be overwhelming. Well you know with all the modern conveniences we have today we think was supposed to make life easy supposed to make life easier right not spose so we’re supposed to make life easier while I think it seems like life is more hectic today than ever before I mean with cell phones and computers and cars that will drive themselves and then lecture it can. Just all these things compared to the old days supposed to make life easier and it’s more stressful more complicated more hectic we have the Sabbath to look forward to every week with all the hecticness of life we know that at the end of the week we have a day the God set apart a day to rest rest from our work to rest from our stress so it’s not a burden it is a delight it is a relief from the stress that the world can bring a key element to our belief to our conviction or our commitment whichever word you’d like to choose for this is that God is the one who was stablish which day to be kept is a sabbath day God established it in Exodus 28 through 11 I should just probably to read all the 10 Commandments but we have a probably should I heard of probably Let’s just do that I can. Add to change appear. To just back up here to. Ok let’s just start with all the commandments so it’s going to be one through 17 and God spoke all these words saying I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt out of the house of bondage you shall have no other God before me we should follow that right. I meant you should have no other God before me why should we follow that because we love him you shall not make yourself make for yourself a carved image any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth you shall not bow down to them nor serve them for I am the Lord your God I am a jealous god this is the need iniquities of the fathers upon the children to the 3rd and 4th generation of those who hate me but showing mercy to thousands to those who love me and keep my commandments here that to those who love me and keep my commandments you shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain and then there is one that says Remember remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy in 6 days you shall labor and do all your work but the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God in it you shall do no work you nor your son nor your daughter nor your male servant nor your female servant nor your cattle nor your stranger who is within your gates for in 6 days a Lord made the heavens and the earth the sea and all that is in them and rest of the 7th day therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and how did it honor your father and mother that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you you shall not murder you shall not commit adultery you shall not steal you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor and you shall not covet your neighbor’s house you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife nor his male servant nor his female servant nor is ox nor his donkey nor any thing that is your neighbor’s why my friend should we keep these because we love God because we love God and want to honor God. The Hebrew word for hallowed is quite Ush it means to set apart to consecrate to dedicate as holy It’s separateness so concerning the Sabbath it is a day that is set apart God set that day apart from the other days he blessed it made it holy he sanctified it you know when the children of Israel were in the wilderness God provided I spoke of this I noticed recently when I was talking of the Ark The God provided manna for them right every morning they would go out and find this man on the ground right now though 6 days a week they would go out and find this man on the ground and God gave them a specific amount that they were to gather so much for each member in their household in it they would go out and say on a let’s say they’re going on the 3rd day of the week and say Well I think I’m going to take tomorrow off I’m going to gather twice as much today so I have more for tomorrow it would be rotten by morning it would have maggots in it it would rot overnight if they gathered more than God designed for them to go out and gather but God said on the 6th day you go out and you gather twice as much so you will not have to go out on the Sabbath day to gather it and it will keep so it would keep for the 2 days when they would gather on the 6 they would keep through the Sabbath the neighbors go out on the 1st day that we can find more my friends this was more than just about obedience think about that it’s more than obedience it was God saying or are you going to trust me. Or are you going to trust me that it won’t rot are you going to trust me that I will provide enough are you going to trust me that it will be there again the 1st day of the week are you going to trust that I would revive for your needs. So my friends do we trust God enough do we trust got enough that I don’t have to work 7 days a week that God would provide enough for me in 6 days a week if you thought about that do you trust God to take that rest do you trust him to provide So it’s more than just obedience it is trust but actually the Sabbath was the stablished long before the giving of the 10 Commandments in Genesis chapter 21 through 3 thus the heavens and the earth and all the host of them were finished and on the 7th day but actually the 6th day God had ended his work which he had done and he rested on the 7th day from all his work which he had done then God bless the 7th day and sanctified it because in it he rested from all his work which he had created and made so God actually blessed and sanctified the 7th day at creation so it reveals God’s character reveals and we know you know you’ve heard the Sabbath or man is not made for the Sabbath but the Sabbath was made for man because God knew that we would need it he knew that we would need rest do you think God was exhausted and tired from the work of creation and he had to rest come on he’s God he’s all powerful Almighty God He rested because he saw that it was good he finished that work of creation so he ceased from his work he rested not because he was weary again because of the completion of the task he was refreshed he was satisfied by the finished good work of creation he blessed the 7th day you know how do you bless a portion of time how do you do that you dedicate it for noble use. You dedicated for a warship you dedicate you sanctify a Jew How would you make it holy how it would by definition means to concentrate as holy my friends on the Sabbath you know we come together we sing songs we praise him I hope. We reflect more tongue I hope will reap we reflect on the goodness of God I hope we reflect on the good this courage his creation as God rested and reflected on the goodness of his creation I hope we do the same we know that God is good to you make it a regular practice of reflecting on the goodness of God the goodness of his creation also by observing the 7th day we identify with the God of Creation Exodus 311-2217 the Lord spoke to Moses saying speak also to the children of Israel saying surely my sabots you shall keep for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you you shall keep the Sabbath therefore for it is holy to you every one who profess that so surely be put to death for whoever does any work on it that person subbie cut off from among his people works shall be done for 6 days but the 7th is the Sabbath of rest holy to the Lord it’s holy to do. Holy to the lord whoever does any work on the 7th Sabbath day he sell surely be put to death therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever for in 6 days or more made the heavens and the earth and on the 7th day he rested and was refreshed a man offering what perpetual me all right so that means it didn’t didn’t quit right a perpetual covenant a sign between me and a children of Israel for ever Some will say well wait a minute now the Sabbath was only for the Jews now Galatians 326 and 29 says For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ my friends in Christ Jesus we are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus for as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on price there is neither Jew nor Greek there is neither slave nor free there is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus and if you are Christ then you are a bird Ham c. and heirs according to the promise so is the Sabbath is the commandments only meant for the Jews know there are many for God’s people what were the Jews supposed to do they were supposed to share God with all the other nations that they too would believe on the children of Abraham as the children of Abraham they would become one of Abraham seeds that they believe on the God of creation. We are Abraham see we worship and follow the ordinances of the God of Abraham right which they dig God the God of Abraham set apart to
